Speech Therapy

Overview
There are often misconceptions regarding speech pathology. It is more than just traditional speech therapy, such as the name suggests. We actually work with a variety of conditions. One example is receptive language, or the way that we process what we hear. We also work with swallowing disorders, which helps to prevent aspiration pneumonia, weight loss, and choking. We work with those recovering from stroke or head injury, helping them with cognitive therapy (memory and reasoning skills).
